Visit of Cannes and visit of Saint Honorat Island, Wine tasting and lunch

The tour starts with a short sightseeing along the famous “Croisette”, an elegant promenade bordered by palm trees and gardens, overlooking fine sandy beaches and lined by both luxury hotels and very exclusive shops.

This is the brand image of Cannes. Surrounded by the pavement of fame where handprints of famous movie stars are immortalized, lies the “Palais des Festivals” home of the prestigious Film Festival, taking place every year in May.

You will continue to Old Cannes called “Le Suquet”, and to the Marché Forville (Covered Market): for a spectacular eating and viewing food experience, no other market in Cannes beats this for scale and variety. Just over the harbor, go and visit the Forville market, a building with Provençal colors which hosts the local producers of fruit, vegetables and flowers. It is in this district that the fishermen's wives formerly came to sell the catch of the day, whereas their husbands met to the bar on the square.

You will enjoy a Provençal lunch in Cannes before embarking on the sea trip to St Honorat Island.

St Honorat Island & Wine Tasting:

You will take the regular boat transfer from the harbor of Cannes to St Honorat island facing Cannes.

The Île Saint-Honorat is the second largest of the Lérins Islands, about a mile off shore from the French Riviera town of Cannes. The island retains a monastery, which is home to 30 Cistercian monks, and is a popular tourist attraction offering pleasant woodland surroundings, in common with its neighbour the Île Sainte-Marguerite. Points of interest include a number of disused chapels erected by monks on the island at different points in history, as well as the remains of a Napoleonic cannon ball oven and a Second World War gun emplacement.

The tour will include a visit of the Monastery and a wine tasting (wine produced by the Monks). The wine was selected as one of the best wines in the world. As the wine cannot be found in shops, this is a unique occasion to taste their production.
